Like many of the best covers, the core of the original comes through drenched with the performing Artist's style. Castle Of Aaargh! from sst13, already known for many incredible remixes of original maps, has done it again. This time pushing the envelope to max - and then teasing us by leaving the original name out!

The title is an obvious reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail, what is not so obvious until triggered and seen is another Monty Python reference used to squash any campers. Very funny stuff and a great touch. A secondary secret can be used to access a Portable Teleporter.

A strong visual theme is carried through the level. Everything is working to enhance the visuals. Great use of Evillair's textures. Some impressive brush work may go unnoticed in 2025 except by other mappers. Remember, this is Quake 3.

Gameplay is very good when up against humans, thanks to a solid item layout. With the right balance of players expect long range to in your face confrontations. Bots are okay, but can often be found, or become easy pickings near the Yellow Armour jumppad to Portable Teleport area.

If you are thinking you have seen this map before, you possibly have. It was originally part of the very strong Map-Center's Quake 3 25th Anniversary Pack - a great release.

If you do not have this map yet - grab it!

Tig's guess on the base map: Temple of Retribution (q3dm7) but would not be surprised if it was Brimstone Abbey (q3dm8).
