An interesting and enjoyable Space DM release. A pleasant mix of original id Software and custom textures that makes for a somewhat darker Sci-Fi theme. The readme includes a storyline that enriches the atmosphere further.

DM games are fun and you can find yourself both exploring and hunting others. Items are well dispersed and help to spread the game play over the map but the central shaft (both above and below) is where most of the action takes place. Bots help to make up numbers on a LAN - or good for solo matches.

A fair sized indoor area exists and helps to remove some of the always exposed feeling of a Space map. This indoor sections is particularly nice. Might be nice to see more of this in a future release.

Technically the map has a few issues. This may be due to the use of mostly patches (curves) over the entire level. This has left the entire map being drawn on every frame due to a lack of vis blocking (patches by themselves do not block vis - they need to be caulked). Another issue was the skybox was disappearing for me and causing a hall of mirrors affect. This might have something to do with the construction method of the map or my dual monitor set-up. Other maps did not have this problem so my guess is the map.

For Space map fans, grab it - even with the technical problems.
