After 11 years, Quake Live version is in the making. I had to decompile the map and fix some issues with texture alignment and missing textures, and now I'm kinda tweaking skybox and lighting. Then some structural changes I guess. I'll post a link to the Workshop item for you to subscribe once it's done.

@Gorf: Team Arena is datadisc for Quake 3 and basicaly it is a mod. Like other mods it won't modify content od baseq3. It installs in missionpack folder in your Quake 3 dir. It is based on teamplay and adds three new gametypes - One Flag CTF, Overload and Harvester. One Flag is CTF with neutral flag in middle of the map - you have to bring that flag in opponent's base to their flag, which gives your team score point. Overload spawns big skull in each base, destroying opponent's skull gives your team points. Harvester is about killing opponents. Each player being fragged drops skull od his team color. Picking opponent's color adds this skull in your inventory, running through skull od your team color will remove it. Bring as much skulls as you can in opponent's base to earn points for your team. It is not for free, you have to pay for that mod if you want to get it legally. That mod is required to play the map, but if you can't for some reason obtain TA, you can play original map, this is fork and has pretty much similar gameplay...

Never having played Team Arena.....when I tried to run this under normal CTF or IOQuake3 CTF, I noticed that the TA maps seem to have the poly culling turned off...Not really knowing what TA is, is this a mod in need, and will this mod break my regular or io quake 3?

Does anybody know how to contact ID Software for map inclusion for QL?
I have tried to rework the level for QL, but couple of textures appeared missing and I don't know where to find proper textures to fix it...
Does anybody also know where to find proper textures? Try to copy source map to the WolfCAM baseq3 and view the map in Radiant 1.6.3...

Copy:
<wolfcam>/baseq3/maps directory
<quake 3>/missoonpack/maps directory
- the .md3 to the:
- <wolfcam>/baseq3/models/mapobjects/spawn directory
- <quake 3>/missionpack/models/mapobjects/spawn directory
Download also the BSP level and copy the pk3 file for proper display to:
- <wolfcam>/baseq3 directory
- <quake 3>/missionpack directory
Then view the .map file with both Team Arena and Quake Live in Radiant 1.6.3 and see, what textures are missing...
If anybody know where are these missing textures included (please do not include videoscreens), tell me...
I will also start making a DM map specially for Quake Live (maybe)...

OK CZGhost, I will include it in next update along with pro-q3tourney7 as a tourney map and mpteam9: Beyond Reality II as a normal CTF map. But why my mod wasn't reviewed yet?

Well, ty for the nice comment.
1st) It's not completely original, it's a remake of PaN61's CTF arena if you mean that.
2nd) Yes, it would work nice in online server. In fact, I'm working on new level for baseq3 and one Australian server fanpage on facebook have contacted me to send it them as soon as they want to run it on the server anyway. For this map anyway not. It's because of the TA missionpack required...
Well, everybody who owns a Team Arena server, he can use the level in his rotation with autodownload feature. Anyway, I don't suppose anybody will play TA online as it was not so liked to be played online...
FistMarine, start downloading and include it in your new TA-plus mod. I'll create 3 more maps to fit the update requirements.

Well Ghost you certainly have done it this time ;D. I love this TA map and the reason why is because it's original, fun and very-well structured. This would definately be fun for online purposes.

I was wondering about converting also for Quake Live, but then I decided it's not necessary... If ID Software looks around for new maps to QL also here, they will decide if they add this level to rotation or not. I'm a bit pessimistic in this trouble so I don't give it much chance...
Anyway, thans for the praise comment :) I always wanted to make maps looking like from ID Software :))

Oh, thank you :) It's the one of default Team Arena skyboxes in fact, the only thing completely from me is the yellow runepad :))

Thanks for review, EmeraldTiger. The skybox was actualy replaced from black one, which was used in latest beta update, the next final update of original have replaced that black skybox, too, by the Hipshot's green clouds...
