I prefer the original tbh. The middle jumper which sent you into the air added character to the map IMO, and taking it out pretty much took away what made mptourney3 what it was. Some of the additions are nice like the extra tunnels and stuff, but overall the original map was already brilliant enough and didn`t need changing. No offense to the author ofc.

I think it is. Without that middle jump-pad. But it looks more Quake 1 Styled.

take a team arena tourney with horrible textures, replace with excellent ones, remove all the annoying bullshit add some atmosphere and you have yourself a fine remake - deduct points for originality but offset that with the fact this 1 is way better than the original.

Actually, you'll find a remake of dc_map08 from the Sega Dreamcast Version of Q3A, in the Quake III Team Arena Mod. It has a nailgun in it, instead of a lightning gun, and it's a pretty good remake of dc_map08.

well iv always wanted a version of this map for normal quake (love the teamarena version), is there any other remake of this map?
some of the team arena ctf maps could use a remake for normal quake. pitty he toulk out the middle jump pad to the ya.

There should be a lightning gun where the YA is at. There was a nailgun there is the Team Arena version. A LG in dc_map07 was the perfect part of this map.....without it...eh
