This is another map I'm just now coming across all these years later that really makes me appreciate what can be done with id's stock textures. This map looks amazing and it plays just as well as it looks. Instant keeper for me.

@HS Excellent recommendation! Cool map, well connected. Perhaps a more open area would have added extra to it. The room in the picture is not ideal since you reach it from the three sides with no visibility whatsoever. Still, fun map!

I'm gonna recommend this one as worthy of being a featured map at some point ;)

I really like that - texturing is really cool and it plays really well. Though there are some parts that feel a bit cramped and some that feel too open...8/10 from me.

Make sure you read the bottom of my review, TL, where it says "I'd like to see more from this author" :-) I haven't seen you drop in at LevelSource for a while... you should go there sometimes and check things out (especially the contests).

I like this map. It looks good, the item placement is effectfull and its not too big, so you can move quickly through it and collect your stuff and frag others.

It's definatly an 8 out of 10.

your right, i dont think this should be listed as a tourney map.. especially with the quad :D

Nice architecture, fine lighting and good gameplay !
Jumping over the lava pool is very cool...

If its really his first map, it is n1, not really playable, but nice to look at ;)

and it says "DM/Tourney" so i think it should also be playable for 1on1

#1 - Are these maps intended for competitions? Or just for good FFA action?

If the mappers werent trying to make competetive levels, you cant fault them for not doing so.

This map is quite good for a first release.. good layout, impressive architecture, surprisingly good item placement for a first level. I had a couple issues with some of the longer hallways - there was no LOS blocking so you could see across good portions of the map (and rail across good portions of the map as well :D). But overall very nice map!
