the gothic theme applied here is much better than id's tech-goth-whatever look that was implemented by them. However, the texture scheme coupled with the shader work does get a bit too rich and overwhelming in parts and could have been more subtle. Same goes with the lighting, too bright and in your face for the most part.
Layout wise, too romm-corridor-room and not enough vertical combat or interconnectivity. The flow feels rather forced and as such the gameplay is average to below average.
Overall, shows promise, but has quite a few flaws. Trajectory showed a marked improvement over this one.
