while there are some nice creative elements to this it is still pretty much straight backwards and forwards game play here

@Alice: A patch file has been added to the review or just grab it here:
lvlworld.com/level.../z-gshores3.zip

This will correct the shader issue.

I have lots of shader probs with that map. Skybox, jumppads etc.... Seems not to be linked to the map which was mentioned below. ;-((((

Very good map, awesome! :D

A great level for CTF!

The underwater atmosphere is very creative, as is the sea monster in the middle. A well done Egytpian theme throughout.

A lot of fun to play as well, it's pretty fast paced. Plays best with 6 or 8 in my experience.

If you have trouble with missing skybox or textures, you probably have a shader conflict. I ran into this problem after I installed the Ancient Greek Arena map:

lvlworld.com/comments.php

Once I removed the map, everything was restored to normal.

Unusual and innovative.

Great map

Like a space map on the upper deck, but stay underground with a RL if you want to avoid the railers.

This has been my favorite Q3A map since its second beta release. Quite simply it rocks. Nuff said.

Found the problem with the missing textures on my system - it was related to a shader conflict. I had a 'atlantis.shader' file on my system already. So I've also updated the screen shot (some people may see a cached older version for a few days)

I should note that the 'shark shaders' mentioned in the review above have nothing to do with Coral CTF. They're actually md3 models and first made their appearance (bespoke made for me by Toddg33 and Fatmanfat) in gshores2 ~ Devil's Island CTF (which can also be found at lvl).

No missing textures here. When I first uploaded the map to lvl I gave the wrong one. I emailed lvl to correct this and point them in the right direction for the correct pk3. The file available for download here is the correct one so I can only assume tigger-on has the wrong pk3 file (although I don't remember the skybox being an issue in that one). I don't think I used any 2wave textures and I always test my pk3s in a pure install folder.

I'm anxious to correct that appalling-looking screenshot on the front page! How do I go about doing that?

Just downloaded it... the underwater skybox textures that are missing on the screenshot are included in the map pk3, so you probably have some shader issues, Tigger? For me it looks like the author included everything correctly.

Very athmospheric map, good architecture and texturing (only thing that spoils it are the artificial looking 2D bubbles). Plays a bit like a spacemap with all the jump pad action, but in he lower levels there´s enough cover against railers. Fun for some fast action with small teams.

I'm quite new to Quake3 and this probably isn't the place to ask but I saw the screenshot and I've got the same problem with a few textures in levels that were ok when I first downloaded and played them but now have screwed up...How do I correct the problem with the least ammount of hassle? I don't think I've downloaded any threewave packs so what else could be causing this problem?

I have the threewave packs in my directory, and that is probably where the texture came from.

Clearly the reviewer and mapper have a different set of pk3's in there /baseq3 than me. As I took the screenshot all I can do is mention it as a note.
