A visually rich, 2-Fort-style CTF release from Martinus, this map was originally designed for the Uber Arena mod yet remains perfectly playable in standard Quake III Arena.

The aesthetic is pure macabre theme park: towering skeletons shrouded in deep shadows and drenched in saturated team colours. While the intense red and blue lighting makes team orientation a breeze, the environment occasionally fights the player. In the tighter, vertical sections, the dense darkness and heavy map details actively impede your flow, turning a few chaotic sections into temporary labyrinths until you memorise the escape routes.

Uber Arena introduced Trampolines - a unique twist on Quake 3's standard jump pads, identifiable by a distinct lattice texture. Raw Shape includes these textures, showing exactly where these high-bounce zones are, but standard Q3A gameplay will converts them back to normal geometry. To ensure players can still navigate the vertical space, Martinus has seamlessly integrated standard launch pads and teleporters. Still, looking at the layout, it is easy to imagine the chaotic fun to be had bouncing through these zones instead of simply running. Or, you can load the map in Uber Arena experience it.

Capturing flags here requires a solid grasp of the map's diverse routes, which transition rapidly from wide-open areas with long, clear sightlines to tight choke-points that force brutal, close-quarters engagements. The positioning of the launch pads also introduces a mechanical quirk that will take a few games to fully internalise.

Ultimately, this release cements Martinus's talent for creating visually spectacular environments. It is a highly engaging map with a slightly elevated learning curve. It is best played as intended with Uber Arena, but vanilla Quake 3 CTF players will still find plenty of fun running routes in the stock game mode.
