It is always nice to see what level authors are up to. What can a new release bring to the array of already released maps. This one has brought us all long straight runs from flag base to flag base and a void below. A Space CTF, suitable for Quake 3 and OpenArena.
Visuals and game play are nothing too exciting. There are three ways from base to base, but the problem is they are disconnected. Once you decide on a path you have to stick to it. There is no real way to switch it up. The single entry in to the base is easy to defend.
The textures and lighting is high contrast, with basic geometry keeping everything very low-key. The architecture in the each base is pretty nice and would have been great to keep that flowing through the entire level. Bots will navigate without issue, but are no real competition at all with the limitations on flag captures.
The author M00nbot has released a few map, with each there is an improvement on the previous. Looking forward to what comes next.
