There's a small hidden room with some banners, a flag, and a teleporter back to the main area. Any ideas how to get to this room without noclip?

Compared to Rota's other maps its a little... brown. Not bad looking over all though and it seems to play well. Though the color scheme is a little dominated the texture work is varied and detail is good. The level is interesting to look at and the layout is fun. Action feels like its paced well enough. I take DM1 in the file name to signify it was Rota's first public release? If so, I think its a strong one.

I don't use Win 7 but you could try the latest 1.6.x test build...
zerowing.idsoftwar...ril/011665.html It's got quite a few fixes so who knows, maybe you'll like it. Anyway this map is legendary so it'd be great to see an updated version (those textures haven't aged gracefully!).

What did even happen to that guy?
He is so so busy.. But worst thing is, that he dont know how to install radiant 1.4.0 on win7..
1.5.0. sux.. If you have any solution please send me it on patarasa@seznam.cz
The good news is that I want to finish at least 2 maps. The remake of this map and one totally new.
Thank you for your interest :) and for help with my radiant problem..

Rota was working on a tourney version in 2009 --
www.esreality.com/index.phpThe link in that post is still active, so you can see for yourself what a nice map it might have been. The beta just has a missing texture on one of the walls (texture isn't in original rota3dm1.pk3 either) and the item marker is empty where the shotgun would be. Otherwise, many improvements... too bad it won't be finished up and released.

Great map ! I love the architecture and the layout. Also every part feels a bit different, but still fits the theme, which is very hard to achieve. Thumbs up !
Any other maps for other games (or more good ol' q3) ?

Yes, it's a very well made map: great connectivity, nice architecture, great ideas. It seems to me that the map was made without any major "strain" or so. You are a natural born mapper, keep it up mate!
But rota3dm1? It's your first map? What have You done since 1999?
Seeing maps like this, I always wonder what the hell am I doing in the map scene (well tre really trutch is that for almost a year nothing :-)?
Hell, good luck, give us more from your fine art man!
