This is a very interesting and fun map. I played this on an LAN server, with 12 human players, and it was heaps fun! I love the cannons, how they shoot you at what seems like light speed across the map. I also liked the jump pads that sent you flying up into the ship. Nice idea of having a button that shoots rockets at the quad damage, it makes it more challenging to get the better item.Gameplay on this map is awesome, whether you are fighting bots or humans. I found it pretty fun to play on Freeze Tag, or ExcessivePlus. 10/10.

my first .map... mmh... considering i got 13-14 years when i made my first map... mmh I deleted it 12 years ago aprox? O.o
The .map of GON3 gone lost (lol?) 3-4 years ago cause both my hd gone to fk themselves... :S
The more recent maps gone lost for the same motivation 1 years ago... :(

sry but i can't update it anymore... i lost the .map file long ago... and even if uncompiled it will never be exactly like in the .map file... :(

Hmm, cool map, just five problems:

  1. Bots can fall off the map and live.
  1. As stated in the review, two of the cannons don't load right. To avoid bumping your head, jump forward onto the pad instead of walking on.
  1. Bots have a VERY specific routine: Fight in main arena, if they happen to be in the neighborhood, hit the guns to the starship docking platform, grab the RG, and head back. They don't board the spaceship unless the spawn on it, and they never go for the quad.
  1. Rocket attack on the quad is no good: I haven't had much chance to test it, but it seems to me that it's easy to see coming, and you could snatch the quad and leap over the edge before the rockets hit. Again, I've had no chance to test this really, so maybe I should shut my mouth.
  1. There is no viable way off the spaceship! If you aim right you can fly and land on the cannon on the docking port, but there's a shot to your health, and then run up above the port and drop again, again another shot to your health.
Otherwise nice map! I love the critical speed of the cannons. :) It needs a few tweaks for gameplay, but overall I love it!

Hallo! It's such a long time I don't drop a line in the q3 community! I've just red a mail from pasquake, the map's author, and I came here. Nice surprice.. a monument for remebering me. Don't know if I sould be honored or dead. Just kidding. I will try this map, and in the mean time I wanted to thanks pasquake for this big quotation of me. Sometimes I am on the point to make a new map, bot don't know what stops me. May be I just can't get how is possible that there isn't any modern game as interesting as quake was.
Anyway, thanks again and greetings to anyone is still joing my maps.

Yes quint's ok ^^ but he stopped playing Q3 and mappnig for it years ago cause of work. Now he's a good comic strip artist ^_^
In all cases he "deceaded" from the Q3 world :'(

-here comes AAS file i have compiled and that works... well somehow:) .. i have found out the the bot play still has issues, bots now move and fight but they are often falling off the platform, they behave strange at the entrance to the spaceship etc. .. this might be fixed by botclipping ?

i have used bscp that comes with old q3radiant 202 (i always do) , (unfortunately it looks like it does not work alone, you will have to download full version: www.q3radiant.com/ )

Seems that only I've the problem with BSPC bot compiling O.o
I use ALWAYS the FSV mode strangely seems that botfiles aren't compiled with it, can you upload the full bspc pak you use plz or send me it by e-mail? o.O

This map have another problem with online play internet play is VERY LAGGY i dunno the LAN play. i'm trying to work on it using caulks and nodraw/nodraw-nonsolid.

The cannon under the quad platform and the one in the opposite sense on the other platform works good it's pratically what Quint defined as a "Quake phisics test" it's notmal that is shoots so long and hard cause to define th etrayectory i've employed about a week of tests radiant unit by radiant unit, mm by mm to define the only angle that have the lowest probability to get player stuck in the brushes of "reversing platforms"

P.S. this map is a "memorial" to quint that's was best map maker IMHO; skybox is from GON 2 and 90 - 95% of the textures are from GON and GON2 (engines and coolig tubes are my creation) ^_^
