Interesting how the author made a tier for single player, it's pretty rare to find new tiers (unless i modify scripts and make tiers myself) and he even made title screen become Q3 demo's title screen and the cutscene after beating level 4, became Sarge's ending.
About the maps, they are pretty good. I managed to get a perfect on last arena because i showed my rail skills, XD. No seriously, i'm a good player (though not as skilled as other players) i play usually at Hurt Me Plenty which is medium difficulty i believe and sometimes when want more challenge, i play on hardcore but NEVER EVER on NIGHTMARE! it's too hard. i don't understand how some players can make nightmare difficulty look so easy.
still, this map set is a good one. i would give an 8.

Vlach develops in his tier an interesting, very personal style of twisted, multileveled gothic maps and puts much love into details. I´m not sure if he has clear concepts about layout, some parts work and some parts don´t in matters of gameflow.

What I found very annoying was the unrealistic lighting in many places of he first 3 maps. In the fourth map he finally learned to include visible light sources to the lighting, but was too lazy to change the previous maps in this point.
