It's so rare for a map to have such grandeur and atmosphere while maintaining aesthetic consistency. I see this as a beautiful nod to both Ancient Green/Roman architecture as well as Egyptian. And even though the railings look modern, they fit the aesthetic beautifully and only add yet another lovely detail to this sweet gem.

There are such nice touches all around, including some hallways which have open ceilings which just adds that much more ambiance to an already gorgeous venue.

I am very surprised this map is from 2004 but only added here in 2021. It looks like it could've been made recently, skybox not withstanding.

The crusher is a nice touch. I can't comment much on the gameplay as we've only played it 1v1, and it's much, much too large for that. We spent half the round just oohing and ahhing to each other as we turned a corner and landed upon a new vista.

An aesthetic masterpiece. Amazing. I hope Grudge sees this review and comment section someday. This map is simply gorgeous. As the review and comments have said.

From the readme, a fitting elegy to an era now past:

Beneath a dying sun lies a forgotten planet, long since abandoned by it's inhabitants. The land lies empty and silent and a visitor here will have the rustling of the wind as his only companion.

...All that remains are the dust and shadows ... of the past. But some evenings, in the hour just as the sun is about to set, perhaps you can still hear the sounds of battle in the distance, and still see the ghosts of warriors past...

A real beauty. Well done! A grand tribute to Quake 3.

Solid theme here—unique yet modest architecture. I'm a fan of the custom textures and the little story behind the map. Perhaps could have used just a bit more sprinkling of items, however.

@HS, you nailed it! Nothing else to add. This map is calling for CA! It might have been as popular as overkill in RA3!

I really liked the grandeur of scale, the skybox and shaders. Items were sparse, even for the recommended playerload, so I can see how this would work as a clan arena, And I think it would even be good in the excessive mod. The regeneration pool was cool, but I noticed a flickering black triangulated line over the surface (and was wondering what the cause of this was). The bleachers and Emperor's box surrounding the red armour really should have been opened up.
