with death match, I think the number of weapons (excluding mg) is a good indicator of player load. it is nice to see that weapons aren't sparse for a map this size. I liked the placing of the big 3 (RG, LG, BFG) but the LG and RG could have even been swapped to prevent sniping. I don't think the other buildings should be opened up: it would make the map too large and create further hits on system memory, but unclipping some entrance ways to the doors, and the lawn areas between buildings for extra cover, and even some of the eaves for cover/sniping would have been a nice touch.

@Martinus: "experiment with unprecedented ideas" meaning try making a map with an original theme! (if you want to of course) You could try making a Nazi Zombies level for the Hunt Mod, an archipelago map, a multiplayer map that plays like a mission, use your imagination! Be creative!

I'm afraid I can't fix Gothic Jumper... I lost the map sources on one of my old harddrives... :(
I actually have a map pack in the submit page (and on work another project).

Interesting on how the comment I made here is the only one I've made that ever got a dislike...

Anyway, I hope to see more maps from you, Martinus! Maybe a fix for your Gothic Jumper map (if possible) or a map with an original theme. Not saying i dislike your map, but maybe in the future you could experiment with unprecedented ideas.

@Martinus Thanks Bro!:D the "/com_hunkmegs 256" has helped:) Just played your map and i have to say. I'm very impressed, this map is HUGE! and rich with everything! (Custom Textures, sounds, all weapons, boosters, items, ammo) just loved it! it will be one of my favorites map:)

Try to increase the hunk megs in your console:
(Type the following command with the number)
/com_hunkmegs 256
or a higher value if its necessary.
(Oh, and don't forget to run your Quake as administrator if it needed!)

@Martinus The error is: HUNK_ALLOCATETEMPMEMORY: FAILED ON 1048584 it appears when i try load your map by skirmish menu i see the map background loading menu but, when it comes to load items (bots,weapons,ammo etc.) this error occurs and im back to the main menu of the game. Yes a put the "q3map thecourtyard.pk3" into baseq3 folder, also tried by console command, but no luck, the same error occurs. I think i'm using the latest relase i bought this game by steam and there is a auto-update so i think that i have to leatest version. No i don't haven't use this on any mods, but i have installed a HD mod/patch that makes the game looks a bit better on a monitor with 1920x1080 resolution. If you are interested what kind of HD mod is this, here is link to it:

What kind of error did you get?
Did you put the "q3map_thecourtyard.pk3" into your baseq3 folder?
Then you could choose the map from the skirmish menu.
Or try type this on console:
/map thecourtyard

Are you using the lastest Q3 point release (1.32c)
Or did you try on this on different Quake 3 engine like IOQuake or the Edawn mod's Quake 3 engine?

Can't open the map:( When i'm trying to play this map, some kind of error occurs i can't load it, to bad, the map look very promising:(

Да, товарищ!

I like this map a lot for it's vertical aspect. There's more to it, but its pretty good despite the fact that you can't go in most of the buildings. 3.5/5
