This map is very well constructed and looks great. Gameplay isn't bad but it has one of those layouts where I feel like I'm spending more time seeking opponents than I am fighting them. I gave it a few go arounds but ultimately decided not to keep it.

What is the thing on the floor?

The map is too dark and unplayable. Tried adjusting r_gamma but it did not help. Any thoughts?

The beauty of FFA's is the opportunity to have some fun with a map where you wouldn't normally otherwise. This has real replay value in both FFA and TDM and it even features the QUAD. And at the end of the day isn't that something we can all agree upon: our love of quake and a piping hot cup of Nescafe's Blend 43... consistent, full-bodied and endlessly satisfying : )

i agree about the scale issue.

-v1/3 was right, I like it. It may be my imagination but the scale of the map seems a trifle too large, but it causes me little concern, considering all of the positives that it has working in its favor. The environment allows for a believable immersion into this, our new home, the "stone cold lonely" for the insane. There is no shortage of interesting diversions and portals that lead us to ever fascinating spaces that delightfully spark our imaginations.
