for me, I don't think any of the changes on this translated as improvements over the original, and to be honest, many things have been lost that gave the original its charm. 3/5 for me i'm afraid.

The one Sh!thead was talking about. Pretty nasty bug, although players won't even notice the hole unless they're specifically looking for it.

Got me thinking... "Woha... another 'lost' id map?"... layout is quite anarchistic, but interestingly plays quite well. A definite download for those who like id-inspired nostalgia.

I'm not so sure about the mp one, but heh I did like playing that speed mod (made by knettergek).. can't remember the exact name lol =)

OK, gotta crash so I'll get it off to you early tomorrow evening (Monday). Cool map btw. I decompiled the map with -bsp2map and the hole is very obvious, it was a real fluke I happened to fall in it because its barely bigger than the player bounding box. If its any help its on the curved corner in the lvl screenshot in the lower right of the shot, directly above the "e" in "Author's www site".

Bad bug, there is a hole in the floorthat I fell through. I found I can shoot projectiles through ti also after that. Looks like its at the base of some steps I think there is some shotgun ammo right near.

xfoo: This was the first custom map that played with the full version of Q3A. Like you said, there was a number of levels that had been hacked together for the Q3Test - none of the Q3Test maps worked (from what I can remeber) with the full release.

I liked that one OMA remake, so much better than the original. =P

My god, I remember the original version of this map!

And it wasn't the first custom map for Q3A, there were a shitload of "illegal" maps out during the q3test days :P

Nice simple level with a new idea...a remake of a map from the same game :-p Quite well done and a good reminder that Q3 itself has been around the block!
