I come back every few years when I get an itch to play Quake 3 and every time i come to this site its still up and active. Super stoked to be here in the big 2026. In the age of microtransactions and subscriptions this website is an absolute god send.

I agree @Cosmosis. My friend and I have had a reacquaintance with Quake 3 starting 4-5 years ago and lvlworld has been the biggest and by far the best resource during that time. This community, small though it is, is helpful and very knowledgeable.

Thanks Tig and everyone here for keeping the q3 flame lit all these years and hopefully many years going forward.

I'm from the planetquake era too, playing online on 56k modems and downloading every add-on available (specially custom player models like Homer, lemmings, Lara Croft, etc...)
When I'm nostalgic I come back here but have little time to play now (plus FPS game now hurt my eyes and wrists :/). Amazing how one person mostly has kept this going. Congrats!
