On December 2nd Quake 3 will celebrate its 15th anniversary. Many people have a soft spot for this classic so instead of neglecting this anniversary we want to pay tribute to this amazing game. For that reason, we partnered up with Pixologic (Zbrush), Id Software, Hammerwatch and CGTextures to bring you MapCore's Quake 3 15th Anniversary Contest which will run from October 8th to December 3rd. Check out all the details below and be sure to sign up and spread the word!

Well, mapping caught most of my spare time wich isn't a lot.
So each day there was the choice 15 min. of mapping or showing progress in my thread. Every time i choose mapping :)
With the comp being closed I cleaned my competition map up and after the feedback from the judges i'll post my final version here on ..::lvl
Until that time i started a new map: jas3dm6 'dustbowl'.

How was the comp for ypu fkd. Cant wait to have the time to try your map :)

I'm really keen to see these comp maps submitted to ..::LvL.

There was talk of doing a pack of all the maps (or just the top maps if there was a lot). I'm still very interested in this.

Me too, Tig.
The quality of most of the maps seems to be quite high :)
There is a download for all the maps in the contest available
www.mapcore.org/to...st-submissions/

Because the deadline of the contest was a bit tight I hope some/most/all of the contestants release a 'final' version of their maps (here on ..::LvL).
