This is a good looking but busy (aesthetically), large but decent playing map. The author has used primarily original Q3 textures in several new and different ways. Game play is solid with 6+ players, any less and you will be wandering for ages trying to find someone to frag. It appears as though this is the last level Ash will be releasing and it turns out to be a wonderful swan song.

Item placement is decent, with all weapons included. This means the BFG is present and although it's placed on a slippery curved surface with death below, it's still relatively easy to obtain. On the "game flow" side, more than half of the map consists of areas where you're in constrained places, sometimes it feels as though your head is rubbing the ceiling. This isn't really a problem it just feels odd. Connectivity is good as there are usually several ways in or out of any given area. You never really get cornered. Most hallways and some rooms have "fins" (for lack of a better word) jutting from the walls, which look interesting, but do little else other than catch you if you wander toward the side. This can be slightly annoying in the heat of a battle. More than once I found myself slowed down by them. These hallways can also get you lost, as they are all very similar in appearance.

Frame rates are decent, save for the slime area where I was dragged down somewhat. There's a lot going on in this map and although it looks great, it can be difficult to spot other players. Bots played decently.

All in all I'd say it's a great map if you have 6+ players to keep yourself busy. Download it and give it a whirl.
