I. Install Instructions
--------------------------------------------------------------------
a) Quake 3 Arena --> Extract pm_incognita.zip into your baseq3 folder.
Normally Terra Incognita should appear in the map menue after you've chosen skirmish mode.
For some reasons Terra Incognita doesn't appear here sometimes. Then try following example:
Extract pm_incognita.zip into baseq3 folder. Right click on Q3Arena starticon (short cut) on your desktop (or whereever).
Choose properties out of the menu, there choose connection. Into the white field add following commands (behind
the commands which stands there before, don't delete this!): +set g_gametype 4 +map pm_incognita
Terra Incognita starts automatically after you have doubleklicked the q3a icon.

Compile machine : Amd Thunderbird (C) 1,2 Ghz, 512mb RAM, GeForce 4 Ti 4200.
Q3Map compile time : at fullvis; vis: approx.: 2 min. / light: approx.: 2 hours
Tools : XFader, Photoshop, Particle Studio
Building time : approx. 5,5 months construction and design
r_speed : tried my best to reduce polys at any time.

VI. General Information and discussion
-------------------------------------------------------------------
This is my part of the 'Mars-Project', which was a whole map-project with several mappers involved.
Well, to the fact that the q3-engine becomes much too old and many new features like realtime/dynamic shadows
and lights or bump mapping are not supported, it is the best time for me say good bye to good old quake3-mapping.
I will get more variations and atmosphere with newer technology which should come with DOOM3 and latest
DirectX9/10 features in the future.
For me id-products will be the best choice to get full flavour of latest 3D-power and technology, so I will
be very active by constructing new 3D-world with that kind of new technics, editors and possibilities.
However, I've to learn a lot of new stuff. The results hopefully will be better maps with much more atmosphere.
It may be that you won't see me for the next year. It's not because I'm hanging around ;) , it's because I've
to train and learn about how to use new technology, and, of course, have to play DOOM3. ;)
So, another project is to build up new website for german community end of 2003 or early 2004, be aware!
