Description : My first Quake III map attempts to stay away
from the style of the standard maps and has
more of a Quake / Quake II feel to it. Iikka
"Fingers" Keränen's excellent IKBASE textures
are used in abundance (thus the pun in the map
title :-) and really look great with the new
engine in my opinion.
The layout is a fairly standard afair with
three closely connected, multiple level, open
air atria. There are plenty of weapons to go
around and the map plays well with up to five

Known Bugs : There are a few nasty VIS errors (near the
Lightning Gun and the two large healths on the
ground floor) which are due to bugs in the
compiler. There was nothing I could do, maybe
subsequent releases of the tools will allow me
to fix them.
* How to Use *
Simply extract the mkfingers.pk3 file and this text file into
your Quake III "baseq3" directory. So for me this would be
"C:\quake3\baseq3". Once installed the map will appear in the
Single Player Skirmish menu.
* Copyright / Permissions *
You may NOT use this map as a base for other maps.
The textures and shaders used in this map remain the property of
their respective owners and were used with their permission.
You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit this level, i.e. put
it on a CD or any other electronic medium that is sold for money
without my explicit permission.
You MAY distribute this BSP through any electronic network
(internet, FIDO, local BBS etc.), provided you include this file
and leave the archive intact.
If any magazines want to put this map on a cover CD, then make
sure you ask me first, send me a copy and we'll be straight :-)
