Yep, nice look. Didn't like the gameplay tho, just going to one end of the map then back to the other a lot really doesn't do it for me I'm 'fraid.

I love the asthetics on this map. Golney has clearly spent much more time on details than the guys at iD.

Unfortunatly, as with the iD maps I got bored of jumping about. iD say "jump pads speed up the gameplay" I find it boring and I prefer to frag people than to jump around alot.

I think it could be a better map if Golney reworked the connectivity.

Thanks for giving me something to say though Golney:)

WOW, yea someone who noticed the jumppad bug with the bots in the so called "donut room" :-) -> maybe I should fix this...

and make some other little tweaks to the curves, hm - keep your eyes open!

I rather like this map, the lighting is very cool and there are some good architectural ideas. The area featured in the screenshot is cool, as you can use the jump pad to jump onto the half-rings in front of the wall and so some evil camping. ;) My only problems with it are: 1. getting the bfg ammo is a pain in the ass and 2. bots don't seem to leave the main floor between the donut room and the castle room. 3. I was playing against Mynx and 3 other bots, and mynx decided to endlessly bounce up and down on the bouncepad in the donut room. This was on the 'hardcore' level.

However, despite these gripes, the level itself is quite fun, and would be easily in the top 5 quake 3 custom levels to date if not for the bot problems.

I must be an alien because most maps that I love,other people don't!This map was surreal,creepy,wierd,lonely and gothy all in one!Playing this map,it didn't give me the feeling I was playing quake or any other videogame probably due to the all too realistic texturing,colors and shading!I love everything about this map and especially the less videogame feel to it!

pyro your such a dude - first you endlessly slag tigger because he doesn't agree with you now your deciding who is allowed to comment - Beth has said upfront s/he is a newbie which is a bold move with idjits like you around - its totally cool to read how a newbie reacts to levels - According to you, you the only one who gets to speak frankly and honestly - how small is your universe, dude <br>Stick to talking about the maps, you'r the real insult to map makers you scarcely even bother to mention them, or don't you actually ever play Quake.

I'm also speaking frankly when I say you(Pyro) should move on to another site if all you are going to do is complain about the reviews or what someone else has to say.

As to this map, I thought one or two of the rooms were interesting, but the long corridors to get to the next area slowed down the gameplay too much.

Beth, you might be right - hopping around or make rocket jumps to get special items may not be very easy for beginners.

But that's exactly why I make these maps - to teach beginners some bunny-hopping :)

I really tried to aim at the middle, not too hard for people who are new to dm and not too easy to used-to people... but I would have to admit that getting the BFG in this map is such an easy job for me.

Beth like you said you are new to dm yet you dont like any map on here. Why dont you play a while longer before you start judging other peoples work. I think you are related to the guy who runs this site with the comments you make.

I sincerely didn't enjoy this map since it involved precise hopping just to get the teleporter and the BFG. And I often get negative scores just being persistent on getting those areas.

Although I'm merely a casual gamer, I do find rocket-jumping fun occasionally--but I would really appreciate if future maps incorporate alternative safe but long routes to get the special items. Hardcore gamers would can triple-hop and/or quad-rocket-jump to the special items in less time, but would also allow inexperienced players to have fun with the BFG and quad.
