This map reminds me of Chrion TL-34 from Halo: Combat Evolved. It makes for an okay Hunt mod map.

You have your opinion. That's cool. Enjoy the map, by all means. "Knock yourself out," as they say in the States.

For the gameplay and visual reasons JL and I have stated below, however, it just didn't seem fair to give the map a higher score than the leaders of the pack.

And of course the map runs "fast" because there's so little being drawn. That doesn't impress me much. The id maps run pretty fast, too, yet they are a feast for the eyes.

Sorry, man. I'm just not buying it.

GREAT..GREAT connectivity due to its size and limited textures. this map runs the best outta all the maps ive seen so far and by far the most fun:)

your comp. must suck balls(worst then mine)because my comp never crashed on q3 only when using the speed match mod.

you people like eye candy too much.. i do too but dont give this map such a wack score because of the size.

gameplay is there..isnt that all that matters.

and if anybody finds that the bots get stuck near the quad

I agree. Maybe I was being too nice. :) But yes, Quid should keep on trying.

Well... not an embarassing map. The author should by all means try making another one. But this one is pretty small, cramped, and mazelike, and the item set is odd. Visually it's completely all-right-angles no-trim two-textures sort of stuff. As a very early beta this could be promising; it just needs way too much visual work and a lot of structural tweaking as well to be a good final.

IMO Lost Forever, Tig's Den, and Steel Belted are all at least a level above this one, Z. Lost Forever is basically just peekaboo style arena play but at least you have room to move and fight, and it looks good. Steel Belted is more interesting and not as constricted, and Tig's Den is considerably more open and has a classic duel layout (and they both look good and have a nice item set too).

BTW IE 5.5 is an unstable piece of system-crashing crap. God help me, why did I ever update.

Yeah, the layout concept is fairly good. I mean, the author has a good multi-level thing going. But it all seems so scrunched together that it hardly matters. I think the small maps are getting too small now. I don't think its any more fun than Lost Forever or Tig's Den, and those are both smallish maps with good multi-level play and great atmosphere to boot. This one is downright ugly.

This map reminds me most of "Steel Belted," but I thought that one was better than this in layout, weapon / item placement (except for the railgun) and style.

So, since I gave that one a 6, I'll give this one a 5.

It feels a little cramped, but the layout it still good. Hey, there isn't a Railgun... wow!

If Quid works on the visuals in his next map and cleans up the overdone item placement, he could really kick ass.

I really love this map, it's a fast pure 1on1 map, this map is almost the best 1on1 i've played on.
