Although it's been a long time, I did find the q3ctf1 sample or remake and it was perfect, but this was about 10 years ago but I'm hoping someone has the file stored somewhere?

Try the following for the latest (and older) versions of GtkRadiant (recommended):

And if you really want the buggy original tools along with saving before every new brush creation, try the id Software FTP server here:

If you want a maps source, you can decompile it with q3map2 using a command line:

Decompiling will not be perfect (texture align problems and only brushes will be structural)
