* About The Altar *

The Altar is a very small square map, reminding a pacman maze in design. There are four respawn rooms with weapons and the main court, where everyone meets - to kill each other. There's a random powerup in the middle of arena. Fighting here isn't about knowing the map - it's about having the skill.

Map is best suited for a tourney or small FFA (3 players), ideally as a practice ground or a warmup round. The graphics are vinyl, and sucky; note that this map is mostly a gameplay experiment and visuals weren't the target. The gameplay is rather different from normal quake experience - I hope it will be to your liking.

Map also includes a custom bot named Gorgon, which features a slightly modified Uriel skin. The bot is well-suited for the map, having haste, invisibility, rocket launcher and lightning gun for favorites. Still, better get yourself a human opponent and show your real skill!

Hope you will have fun with this one, it was certainly fun for me. Anyways, back to work on rotary08!
