This map rocked in quake, but the conv it a little to errrm crap in parts the reason i liked it in quake 1 is the dark bits where you could hide but the tesla gun and it was funny when ppl could not jump to get quad but in this conv its to bright and too easy to get quad and well the lava sux because its easy to rocket jump out of, but still d/l this map, its a classic and will allways be better on q1 :P

Quake 1's feeling will never be recaptured in Q3A because Q3A is too colourfull. The health powerups look like something out of Mariocart.

Very well done, but it does not have the right feeling from quake 1

Well done map, along with claustrophobopolis, i'd like to see more remakes like dm2 and dm3, old and new are should be recognized, both take creativity and time.... its a mappers choice. Map away, old and new. Just have fun!

I don't care much for remakes, but each to his own I guess. The problem is that they're really CRAP conversions by "2-bit haxx0rs" and shouldn't be touched with a 10 foot pole.

I totally agree on old maps being old and we should move on to something new but the effort was admirable.

pyro, the biggest problem is that it's NOT well done and that mapping is about creating NEW fun for people. This is the opposite. It takes the fun out of map (cuase Q3A is NOT Quake1) and it's not new.

Who cares if its a remake? If its done well then theres not a problem. As far as being illegal..that is just ridiculous. Its a damn map not anything of monetary value on any level like all maps. I can see if someone tried to sell a map pack of remakes a retail but this isnt retail so chill out. No one is loosing anything and no one is getting hurt.
