On the concerns raised regarding the quad room, I personally have to disagree. Yes it's going to get a lot of attention by its nature of having a power-up, a YA, and a RG, but just hanging around this area would be a mistake as the rest of the map has important goodies too - you have to leave the Quad room to get the RA, MH, two of the YAs, the RL, and the LG, all of which are also very important, so there is good reason to traverse the entire map. The item placement is overall well-balanced for this reason. A more pressing concern about gameplay would be the heavy abundance of corridors, which can feel like a chore to move through. That being said, this map still stays on my hard drive for it's incredibly well-executed theming and style, which was quite ahead of its time for 2003. The attention to detail with the prisoner pods and the pipes/particle effects, still impresses to this day.

A perfect map for 10 players. The level of detail is very good and the design is excellent. And the atmosphere is just great.
It's true that the bots tend to play mainly in the main open room most of the time, where the Quad is placed.

@TheFlyingPolyp: Total guess, but a combo of shader affect and video card (or video card drive).

Great map!
However, I'm having a fairly noticeable texture issue. On the Ranger model, in the tank... there is no texture except for the face. The entire body is just black. I thought that maybe another map's textures or shaders were conflicting, but I also have the problem with a completely clean "baseq3". Thoughts?

One of the sexiest custom maps you'll lay eyes on.... reminds me of Chronicles of Riddick. Hard to believe it's running on a 10 yeard old engine...!

F#@k thats an awesome map !!! I can tell a lot of expertise and creativity went into this design. The level plays smooth, the concept is open and the details create a very realistic edge that I enjoy in the gameplay. The main chamber with the quad is very fun, shooting from the ledges up top down, I enjoy levels with high low game play. The texture pak is amazing as well, very experienced hand...well done and thanks for the release and great ideas !!

What secrets are you people talking about though? Please tell, I really want to know :p
But in all seriousness, there are NO secrets in the map (hidden spaces or such), the "discover the secret" slogan on the loading/title screen was just put there to keep with the comic design of the screen. I only realised later (when the map was already released and I got several questions about it) that people concluded from this that there had to be secrets in the map. A big D'oh! for me.
Anyway, have fun with it! :)

This is indeed a great map with some really nice touches. The secrets are a most welcome addition for replay value.

Indeed, a really great map in terms of visuals - very well put together, great architecture, very good texturing.
There is a bit of a learning curve to this map in terms of gameplay, but i think it plays pretty well in FFA mode, despite a few long passages. There are some secrets in this map too that i have yet to discover :)

i agree with nitin. atmosphere oozes!, g/play is a little lacking. but as a show piece, this is truly a work of art.

a real looker, very nice atmosphere and detailing.
Gameplay is so-so and focuses too much on the quad area.
