Wow, this map is getting a lot of attention :)

The item list in the Overview has been update to match the current version. Turns out the list was generated from the original release and never updated to match to newer release.

However, I was expecting a weapons map just because rg, rl, pg are mentioned in the overview but don't seem to appear on the map. Are they relics from a previous version?

@HelterSkeleton I downloaded this level back in 2017 on the day it came out IIRC and it is still stored on the associated HDD, however I currently do not have access to it. I can confirm that the first version of the map did provide more weapons indeed. The RL was located on the ledge to the left of the first larger Royco soup platform, i.e. the one closest to the mirror, as shown in the video in the "Media" section. The PG used to be inside the 2nd crab stick ring. Personally, I don't remember RG being present on this map.

Without a doubt, I prefer the original version to this one, as it had the actual bot support, at least one 50 health medkit, the aforementioned weapons and was techically fully playable not only in DeFRaG, but also in classic Quake 3. What I mean is that before the player could go through the entire room with the banana platforms even with the classic physics, unlike the current version of the map where the player gets trapped in the room without being able to go farther than to the 7th platform.

Likewise, there only was one spawn point, and thus a lot of telefrags, but it was fun to sometimes get a few MG/gauntlet/RL rounds with bots in the spawning point area next to the mirror. Although the Royco cup-a-soup textures were of significantly worse quality, MOISTBOIL used to play a song from this Dutch advertisement: youtu.be/qFQp3DyCxjI

@Tig I get about the extraction of items for the overview. I guess, I was hoping to maybe hear back from the author sometime in the future. I also added a "strafe" tag to get the ball rolling. I'll add the updated review to my "to do" list. I have a mod review and an old review that needs updating to get around to. I usually get the time to do these over xmas/new year

@HelterSkeleton : Please feel more than welcome to send in a more suitable review for this release, with a focus on DeFRaG. More than happy to replace the current one.

As to the overview section: If you do send in a review, be sure to offer suggestions for the overview to cover DeFRaG better. It is easy to add "tags" to the current sections.

The items and bot support information is extracted automatically, which means the weapons are included in the map at somewhere.

I've rated it low but mainly because of difficulty level and level design. (you've seen the quality of the official cup maps, I think I'm being fair). The banana platforms were cute. However, I was expecting a weapons map just because rg, rl, pg are mentioned in the overview but don't seem to appear on the map. Are they relics from a previous version? Just with respect to the review: when reviewing a DeFRaG map, it doesn't hurt to mention gamestyle (single/team/fast capture/freestyle/aim; strafe/rl/combo etc.), is it playable in both cpm/vq3 (in this case, it is), routing (single/multiple) and checkpoints/kill triggers (as these can be frustrating and also determine difficulty level). Dunno if we can have these accommodated in the overview section but it would be great to see/do some more DeFRaG reviews on the site.
