MKBASE-TA - Feel The Base (TA)
Killer

================================================================ MKBASE-TA - Feel The Base (TA) ================================================================ Title : MKBASE-TA - Feel The Base (TA) Author : Martin "Killer" Kilcoyne Version : 23rd May 2001 File Name : mkbase-ta.pk3 E-Mail : **email removed** Web Site : **invalid URL** Description : After a sustained spell of playing CTF I decided to try my hand at a CTF map. I played it safe with the texture set, Iikka's IKBASEQ3 set is exceptionally easy to use. The looks of the map aren't spectacular but I think the layout is particularly nice. It allows for both lone ranger style attacks as well as more strategic coordinated ones. There are plenty of routes in and out of the bases which I think is a must in CTF. This is an updated and slightly improved version specifically for Quake III Team Arena. It supports all the new gametypes contined in Team Arena and they all play very well. FFA is also good with plenty of spawn points included. Hope you have as much fun playing the map as I have had making it. Thanks for reading. Credits : The usual thanks go out to Iikka "Fingers" Keränen for his excellent IKBASEQ3 textures. His texture work can be found at: www.digital-eel.com/surface and his maps can be found at: **invalid URL** Major thanks also go to Mark "Eggman" Pytel who gave me some great feedback and suggestions, pretty much all of which I took on board and added to the map. They make the piece a lot more visually interesting. You can find his site at: **invalid URL** Thanks also to Metlslime and GrindSpire who gave me some last minute feedback which resulted in a delayed release. Hehehe only joking; their suggestions were good and I made some good minor alterations as a result of them. So for me this would be "C:\games\quake3\missionpack". Once installed the map will appear in the Start Server menu but NOT in the Single Player menu (unforunately I don't think this is possible with Team Arena). * Copyright / Permissions * You may NOT use this map as a base for other maps. You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit this level, i.e. put it on a CD or any other electronic medium that is sold for money without my explicit permission. You MAY distribute this BSP through any electronic network (internet, FIDO, local BBS etc.), provided you include this file and leave the archive intact. If any magazines want to put this map on a cover CD, then make sure you ask me first, send me a copy and we'll be straight :-) =========================================================MK2K1==
