Description

You just downloaded an updated version of "Lo Sota Olt", a map created in
november 2010 for the "Experimental single player contest" held at LvlWorld.

I wasn't satisfied with that version, it wasn't polished enough, and the
"arena" part really didn't have the quality I wanted. And now I think it's good !

For a quick intro if it's your first time : "Lo Sota Olt" is a pseudo single
player level where you explore some old caves and eventually end out trying to
survive to the "Guardian" while you open the gate that might get you out ...

production notes
===================================================================================

I started working again on the map around 3 weeks ago, as I came back from a
trip in Japan. Some work was allready done before, but there was still a long way
to go, and a lot of work was put into adding some more cliffs in the arena part.

Other changed things are a "checkpoint" in the pillar platforming part, some
sound effects, and some decals.

All the textures were made by me, from some stock photos I accumulate on my
computer since a couple of years. Some were made from material found on

A dozen of original sound effects were designed for this map, and some fellow
students are responsible for making them ! they are Sylvain Jannot and Fabien

Installation
===================================================================================

Unzip dmeat_sp02.pk3 from dmeat_sp02.zip to your Quake3\baseq3
folder.

****READ THIS !****
For the best experience possible, follow these instructions :
press or ~ to open the console
type /cg_fov 100 (or 110)
type /timelimit 0
type /scorelimit 0 (so that no matter how many times you kill or get killed, the
game will not end by hitting a fraglimit)

***WARNING !***
DON'T PLAY THIS MAP IF YOU ALLREADY HAVE THE ORIGINAL VERSION INSTALLED !
Even if the level is named "dmeat_sp02b", there might be some conflicts with the
shaders, and things might get ugly ! Delete or move away the old version before
you try this new one :)
