If you don't let the blinking lights on the middle floor of this map and the fact that it's a box map drive you out of your mind, you may be in for a treat. The maze-like lower floor quickly becomes the focus of "Gradual Panic", but that's not a bad thing. With windows in the walls placed so you can see your opponents running through the maze just a foot away from you, anticipation and surprise become the name of the game. Plasma guns and rocket launchers are the order of the day in this tightly packed frag fest. My main complaint would be about the upper levels: There's no reason to go up there when the powerups are not spawned. The only weapon up there is the Rail Gun, which is nearly useless on a mostly tight map like this. Four teleporters on the middle level also seems a bit excessive. The textures for bounce pads and teleporters look nice, and bots play well enough to keep you busy.

Worth checking out, there's a good chance you'll keep it.
