I would have kept this if there was an outside area to the map. Also bots should spawn only in their bases.

Basic but good. A little boxy, yes but not too bad. OTOH I love how you have to work to get to the BFG. The Egyptian theme is a very nice change, and the placement of the weapons + the spaciousness of the map really enable you to wage your own little World War 3. True Quake 3 Phatness.

Two problems with this map: the first is the architecture, which tends to be ugly and boxy, especially the bases, which look like something out of an early Doom wad. It's hard to break up large spaces effectively and this is not how to do it. Second, I don't care for the way that players respawn sometimes inside the enemy base. Otherwise, this is quite a bit of fun.

although this map is a little too large in some areas, especially the middle of the map, it creates an intense atmosphere :) well done !!

Agreed! This is certainly one of the cooler CTF maps to come along in a while. It is pretty basic though - large atriums with small hallways connecting them, and the occasional teleporter. The good layout and theme makes this map however.

Bots are pretty predictable but hey, they're like that even in ID's CTF maps :- The open area in particular can create interesting combats between levels, especially if several of the combatants haven't yet snagged a railgun. There are a few spots that feel too cramped but that might just be in comparison to the rest of the map.

Great stuff for Q3 CTF, just a little basic.
