This is definately the best Dead Simple remake "EVER" yet to date. I give it a 10 for that reason.

The gameplay has been improved, and the detail is great (without going overboard), and my personal favs. are the natural terrain and how the quad is located.

This is staying on my hard drive.

DSL is 11% faster than cable

i liked it the texturing was good,bot play was so so...:-(

and i did find the outside to be a little far open but overall very nice

my map is better than your's!!! hehe!!! j/k there you new map is going to be awesome

Actually I have decided on a cool one perfect for dm. Doom 2's The Gantlet :-)

I'll also include the green and blue fire by modifying the skull lamp/light model by changing the colors to blue and green (is really easy to do) I'll make it cooler than the original but first I need to get this other map I'm working finished :-)

Thanks for the positive feedbacks guys. I'm actually thinking of doing another Doom 2 remake but cannot figure out wich one I want to do. Any suggestions? First I need to finish up an original I'm working on wich uses custom textures and shaders.

I think I DLed this one after some Dead Simple mapping contest and played it for a while. Fun time with bots. The possibilties for mapping have gone way beyond the "state of the art" from back when Dead Simple was created, but this remake is a very good job given the constraints of not mangling the original map too much.

Dunno if I'd recommend it to just anyone, but if you played Doom it'll be amusing to check this out.

oh yes and i forgot to add, the terrain in this map is AWESOME...i haven't seen it this well done in a map yet. you can't see the best terrain in the map, so i guess that means you have to download it!

This is surely the BEST Deadsimple remake BY FAR. this version blows the original one from Doom 2 away. this one has a lot more to it instead of just one level, this has 2 levels with jump pads, which makes it seem much more like quake3. good map [iF]Gonad keep it up.
