- the map is classified as a "multi-arena"
and is intended for play with the Rocket Arena Q3A mod
... or any other mod that uses multis.

- - [ 6 arenas ] - -

- ===============
- Arena 1: Temple Kung-Fu
- gametype: Rocket Arena
- get your zen on in this crazy fast 1on1 arena.

- ===============
- Arena 2: Bitten in the Garden

- symmetrical garden type setting suggested for railgun-only matches
- spawn with 40 health and 25 armor
(one railgun shot = death ... or ... two gauntlets = death)

- ===============
- Arena 3: Sour Bitterness
- gametype: Rocket Arena
- intended for intense 1on1/2on2 matches,
this arena started the theme for the multi-arena

- ===============
- Arena 4: Burning the Midnight Oil
- gametype: Rocket Arena
- demented conversion of SourDM's interior
castle layout ... *slightly* modified
- custom didjeridoo sound loop :)

- ===============
- Arena 5: Midnight Marauders
- gametype: Clan Arena
- intended for 4on4/5on5 clan matches

- ===============
- Arena 6: Clantacular
- gametype: Clan Arena
- intended for LARGE clan matches

you join a team, select Other Options/Propose New Settings
- change the Gametype to Practice Arena
- join/create a team and learn the six arenas :)

***
- [ RA3 Server Info ]

GENERAL INFO :
____________________________________________________
- bitter_pak started with arena number three, Sour Bitterness, which was
built for Natestah's RA3 arena, r33t arena. working with nate inspired
me to develop the theme into my own multi-arena.
many months later, bitter_pak is ready to go.

- i've started converting/combining the arenas for regular Q3 play as well.
SourDM and BittenDM (visit the website for downloads) are the first.

- the uncompressed bsp is approx 24MB
- the map file contains approx 9780 brushes

- the trippy sound loop in Burning the Midnight Oil is a digitaly-fuxored
didjeridoo loop that i recorded in my basement :P
similarly, the sound heard by all the teleporters is another custom didjeridoo loop.

- thanks to groovemasta, shaggy, unitool, FRAGlicious, GONNAKILLYA, Squire Gibbage,
Hoi Polloi, Cackafracle, mfdvr, seti (this kid runs dahood), M3A, bushboy, pjw, QPsiren,
51|budda, Tigger-On ... and anyone else who i've overlooked

- thanks to tumi of tumi's tomb. he's always willing to help
guys out by hosting maps on his server. betas or finals ... they'll
see some game at tumi's tomb :)

- thanks to Johnny Law for his kick ass "q3map_suns.exe"
... this new q3map will correctly handle multiple suns in one map file.
this is great for being albe to have different sun directions casting
different shadows in each arena.

- thanks to crt, essobie, and the entire RA3 beta crew. some great
suggestions and an amazing opportunity. thanks guys!
i've tried to implement what i've learned into the newer arenas
in the pak ... specifically, Arena 1:Temple Kung-Fu.
simplicity and speed reign supreme in this arena.

- i'd like to thank Natestah for all his help. much respect.
(you may remember him from such fine Q3A maps as: "r33t Ownage","Natestah's Beotch", "r33t arena")

- many thanks to SgtGhost, DeathStalker, and bigOnes over at MAHQ for all their support

- thanks to everyone who's taken the time to read and reply to my *sometimes* long-winded
posts at quake3world

<!-- if i've left some names out, i apologise -->

- there were some great suggestions and bugs found by
beta testers on an old "Clantacular" thread at quake3world.
the thread is gone now and i never got all the names off of it.
sorry guys.
