The ubiquitous Egyptian texture set by our old friend Sock can't disguise the fact that this is a fairly standard box map. Items and Egyptian styled structures dot the square enclosure, with a Quad Damage submerged in a deep pool far below the main arena. In places the textures are quite well used, but there are some overlapping brushes on the pyramids and a ramp structure that protrudes through a solid wall. Interest could have been added to the flat outer walls by breaking them up with pillars, buttresses or other features. Many players will find the damage from the flame features that are dotted about annoying. Other than that the game play is exactly as you would expect for the type of map.

Although bots are supported, the .pk3 does not contain an .arena file. Bots do not seem particularly bothered about getting the Quad and sometimes have trouble escaping its subterranean hiding place when they do.

It sounds like the author and his buddies had good fun on LAN, but most aren't going to miss much by skipping it.
