Annihilation is a map with a really cold feel and is surrounded by snowy mountains. It has a real tech look to it, with steel walls, units, and powered machines which give the map a very blueish look. On the lower part of the map there is a quad which sits in the middle of blue orbs that spin around it, which gives it a feel that the quad is being powered by them. It's looks very nice. There is a lot of glass floor where you can look through them to the metal below, and also look through it into other hallways of the map.

Some of the items take some work to get, like a RL that sits on the top of a box which requires a good jump at getting to it. There are spots in the map where you can sit above and watch someone pass below you without you being in their sight. On the edge of the outside of the map where the RA sits you can look into the mountains and RL-jump out to a metal platform that if landed wrong will throw you into the oblivion of the mountains. A lot of those spots will make a camping RG player very happy.

It's an attractive map which kind of has a Geo-feel to it also.

Very beautiful techy style map. Take a moment to actually enjoy the architecture, you get used to it very quickly, until you wonder how was that actually done, amazing stuff.

Nitpicking on a high level: The angled JP looks weird, does not really fit the quality of the rest of the map, IMO. The bots cannot access the RL (it's on a box). The RG TP teleports the player near the top of a JP, where usually heavy fighting happens with the bots, I got telefragged there several times.

Do not be distracted by the above, this map is a definite download, and very much fun to play against bots.

I buuilded this map with:
Amd Athlon 2500XP+
512 SD Ram
Radeon 9200 SE
So it's worse from yours :) (now fortunatly I have new hardware:))

Had this map for sometime. Unfortunately on my system...

AMD Athlon 2600XP+
1 GB 7200 SD Ram
Geforce GS6800 256MB Ram

It chuggs a little with everything turned up. But if you have a newer system you should be rocking on this map.

Congrats on the 500 downloads Shadow.

This map has a great level architecture. I`m not able to give a straight professional comment, because i`m not a level makr, but i like the fast gameplay and the quad teleporter. -[ -_- ]-
