At first the map appears to be monochromatic, almost like an old black
and white film. However, soon you notice, as you move through the old
European town with narrow walkways and bridges made by a few planks laid
across open spaces, that there are subtle color variations with lots of
detail. The toll o ... keep reading

As the readme and the author's website quotes - Unfinished map started
life as a bit of an in-joke to become a finished map that looked like it
was an un-finished or incompletely textured level in the game editor.
Well dONKEY certainly achieved this and all whilst moving half way
around the world to anoth ... keep reading

dONKEY is an awesome mapper and he evidently pledged to move on to
bigger and better things in D3 and Q4. Lucky for us, he has been drawn back to
good old Q3 and his final swan song (olt means One Last Time) is in the
form of a small tourney map.
Imagine a small, gloomy village where Jack the Ripper lu ... keep reading

Another stunning map by dONKEY. One of 2 maps he intended for the Geocomp4, which explains the use of only 10 textures. The
medium sized map has an ancient theme, but not egyptian. Basically an
outdoor, multi-level main area with many side rooms and a fog shrouded
catacombs lower level. Remember, Geoco ... keep reading

This map r00lz. I really like the architecture and the gameplay (even though
it could definitely use some more ammo) as well as the soft consistent lighting
throughout the level. The only thing I have a problem with is that this map
could have benefited from more textures. The whole level is made of concre ... keep reading

An awesome, medium-paced CTF map. The theme of the level actually reminded me
of life with textures like faded, white paint on bricks walls, as well the
rusting pipes. The layout has resemblance to an old factory. The bots play just
dandy. I have no major complaints, however, the lighting is weird in some

A tight, fast map perfectly suited for 4 player smackdown or tourney.
The visual theme is well realized by the worn, crusted walls and the
over-grown moss that has slowly crept in over the centuries. Texturing and
lighting are excellent however some areas seemed to be longing for a few
more details - bu ... keep reading

A good-sized map, sporting an industrial/warehouse theme and an interesting
layout. Although the textures and lighting are definitely appropriate,
occasionally some of the choices seem a bit odd. Dark walls will contrast
with light floors in some spots, and corners or staircases will seem
entirely to ... keep reading

View: Review / comments,
ReadmeDownloads: FileFront, MHGaming, ..::LvL (1.03MiB, 1,842 d/loads)
Flat, contrasting textures, tight corridors and lots of speed is what this map
dishes up. Shotguns, grenades and plasma guns rule the day as there is no-where
to hide and your enemy is always right in your face. The lighting is a little
washed out and over bright through most of the map. The layout keeps y ... keep reading

Through the Glass Darkly is an M.C. Escher drawing in which to frag your
friends. The surrealistic geometry of the map architecture is visually
interesting but it doesn't hold its link to reality as well as another map by
dONKEY, All of Me (dk_aom4), which has
similar simple brush textures and an almost ... keep reading

Pink and Curly isn't a new pasta recipe, a hairstyle or Hip Hop slang
for describing a part of the human body. It is a simple, yet very
interesting Quake 3 map by dONKEY extremely suitable for 1-on-1 DM or
Tourney play.
Other than the 1970's Fab-5 architecture, complete with lava lamps,
you'll notice ... keep reading

A medium/large CTF map that's average at best. The layout is your usual
two-tier CTF map, with two main ways of entering your opponent's base, and
two alternate entrances. I found myself actively using all the passage ways
presented to me. Your frame rate should be okay while in each base, but may
fluctua ... keep reading

A medium-sized map with a unique appearance thanks to some gritty textures.
There are pipes everywhere. In the exterior courtyard there is a nifty
falling snow effect which looks quite cute. Gameplay is not bad, though the
bots tend to head straight for the courtyard where the PG can be found. They
do not ... keep reading

A tourney only map, set in a castle and small courtyard with a simple tree
dropping leaves (nice effect). Inside the castle are a number of small rooms
with interlinking alleys. The main 3 room/areas are stacked above each other,
connected with jump pads, with the bottom level housing a nice looking telepo ... keep reading

This is a nice-looking, medium-sized, gothic-style ffa map that boasts dynamic
lighting, shiny water, and some shadow casting (which, even if it's a piece of
trickery, looks superb). The playability is quite good. Bots get around with a
reasonable degree of competence and the locus of the action can rapidl ... keep reading

Gut Blue Ice gives me that "X-Files" kind of vibe; you know the part
in the movie where they find the alien ship in the arctic? Anyhow, congrats to
the author for making this map architecturally interesting. The texturing is
consistent, but doesn't quite convey the theme of the map. Several ma ... keep reading

A small Team Arena CTF map with a noticeable polygon count for extreme visual
impact. Considering all the polygons, this map runs very nicely with reasonable a
framerate. The author states that this was influenced by some UT2003 maps.
However, gameplay was lacking a bit. Bots play the level without a prob ... keep reading

The arena is a 'King of the Hill' type room. At the top of the map, you will
find the Railgun, Red Armor, and Rocket Launcher. The bottom has a +50 health
ball, two ammo clips, and a Regeneration. Consequentially, the game play won't
entertain many players since a player's best strategy is to camp the to ... keep reading
