The atmosphere looks great. It just shows how brilliant mappers like you are blessed with this skill.

Excellent work of mapping from a fantastic author. Although it is a bit big it played surprisingly fast for duel, although I do agree that it would be better suited for 2v2 TDM as mentioned in the review. Nevertheless, its a map thats worth every bit of hard drive space. It reminds me heavily of "Leviathan" the brand new QL map which was also made by ShadoW.

Having played this map both as a tourney and 2v2 tdm i have to agree with author of review and other commentators that small tdm is where this level's strength lies. on another note aesthetically this is a very interesting map. Considering ShadoW's oeuvre this is a very whimsical and playful turn of events which i really like. I also like the way he manages (especially here) to make maps that are both contemporary in their feel while still remaining faithful to the spirit of Quake3. He hasn't gone for the hyperreal urban landscape and has kept some of the feel and novelty of the base id map set with the gothic feel, bouncepad combos & death pits. this is a map which has certainly grown on me but not anywhere near addictive gameplay wise as some of his more recent work. nice job!

Really solid and good map from Shadow. The detail of the textures and architecture is really atmospheric, they are of really good quality and are used nicely throughout the map. The lighting is spot on which also adds to the atmosphere and has a unique feel. The draping vines and the gothic-tech fusion theme is aesthetic as well as adding to the detail and are mixed throughout the whole map at the right level.

The design and layout is good such as the room with the Red Armor and center area with the Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher and Yellow Armor, all at different floor levels from the ground. The Item placement is really good with the Rocket Launcher above the teleport in the Red Armor room, the Yellow Armor, Grenade Launcher and the Rocket Launcher in the center of the map and the Railgun with the Megahealth where the Shotgun, Yellow Armor and the Rusty Star Texture are located (Floor Underneath) are mixed evenly so there isn't one weapon which is going to dominate the entire map as well as all the Items in various locations around the map.

The connectivity is excellent with the 2 teleports, the amount of hallways/corridors and jumpads which lead you to other locations around the map. The Accelerator Pads and Jumpads over the lava pits are a good feature but it's only a one way design which allows more movement around the map but the connectivity drops a tiny bit.

Overall, an excellent map Shadow, 9/10.

This is a great map - I really like the texturing and the level of detail feels just right. The only thing that bugs me is that the connectivity between the RA room and the 50-/center room can certainly be a little low because you only have those accel pads which can only be used in one way.

8.5/10 for me.

Edit:
Just noticed the epic airrocket in the video. \o/
