This map rocks. You'll have to pry it from my cold, dead hard drive. Not registered

Funny you should mention an FFA map along these lines. I did start designing one with the architecture of St Paul's cathedral in London as the basis for it. I don't know whether I'll get back to that map, but I'd like to do something on a larger scale with this style of architecture. Not registered

Yeah, I thought the pink color wasn't actually on the skulls themselves, which is why I wrote pink in quotes.
I'd definately like to see a multi-weapon FFA map with this sort of design. Not registered

Thanks for the comments Octovus.
I'm not really much of a tourney player myself. The map resulted from an experiment that got carried away. :-)
I agree with Kell about the pink skulls. Actually, the colour comes from the zapscroll shader. When I built the map I still had my old monitor and a Voodoo 3 3000 card so the colours looked OK. With my new set up Q3 maps started looking pinkish. Pity, 'cos it looked better on the old system.
Personally I didn't think a level this small was likely to have much longevity anyway. Not registered

Fun rail arena - it's nice looking but no system strain at all :-) Bots play as well as can be expected, and they of course aim according to how hard you set them. I suppose if you played this one on one, problems could come from bots not roaming but I prefer FFA and there they always meet eachother, which keeps them on their feet.
A note on quad in "Rail Arena" maps: If the mapper hasn't 'banned' the machinegun, whip it out once you get the quad! Not as much aim required and you get more bang for your buck :-)

P.S. 8 from me, though its a 9 for a rail arena.Not registered
