Just concerning MH jump, this is not frame-rate limited in CPM as you can double jump.

The missing textures are in the Threewave CTF pack, eh, I forgot about one damn texture...
Hope you are playing this map with Challenge Pro Mode, if not - you're losing A LOT OF FUN!
Two RLs aren't IMO too much, while this map is to be played with weapon respawn time set to 15 (CPM default)Not registered

Another fabulous looking gothic map (I seem to be dying from a surfeit of these things). A couple of textures are missing:
gothic_light/ironcrosslt1
gothic_light/ironcrosslt1_4000
These only affect the appearance of some of the lights.
There are a couple of places (such as the where the MH is and a recess nearby) where game flow is impeded and I thought the placement of the RG might encourage a little camping.
The presence of two RLs and their attendant accessories is too much. One RL would've been sufficient.
Great architecture and seems to run smoothly. Not registered

GONNAKILLYA!, don't let 'em get ya down; I personally love the gameplay on this map, and actually kinda like the look a lot too . . . you're not crazy about the look . . . so? You're right, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and something like the "look" of a map is a pretty subjective thing for people to get bent about.
C'mon, keep joining in the bickering . . . you know you want to. ;-)

I'm starting to regret even stating my opinion here.
Look, I've already said that this is a great map...I just don't like the overall theme.
Why do people jump down yer throat when you don't love EVERYTHING about a map? This IS the comment section where EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinion.
Screw it, from now on, I'm only gonna download the maps and leave the bickering to everyone else. Not registered

btw, all this talk about ugly? I'm lost! I love the look of this map, apart from the gameplay entirely, and the ambient sounds are top notch (especially the drone of the tele's). This map would stand on it's own with picmip 5 and vertex..on gameplay alone. But the truth is, i love the way it looks and plays. I gave it a 10...as i keep coming back for more. BTW, play this with Doom, i was amazed at how well he will play this map, running not only the YA's (most the time..sigh) but even the MH. At times i couldn't believe how well the bot was spamming and playing. Aside note: Darn, that lg is deadly! :)Not registered

Hubster, although the ones with good gamplay are the ones you end up playing the most, Jude's maps are fuckin ugly too, because they (FxR) all run at picmip 4 or higher with very lean "pro" configs, they dont care.
Some people actually do create maps for aesthetics as well as gameplay, making full use of the loverly q3 engine.
why cant you have your cake and eat it too? ;)Not registered

great map..i love it! it's a new fav for tournies. My only complaint is there is a bit lot of armor/health...and the YA armor run makes it a bit easy to dominate...especially with a 1 minute MH respawn

Love the layout. Hate the teleporter near the YA. Seems rather pointless to have a TP if it only takes you as far as this one does.
Lighting could have been much better but it isn't the ugliest thing I've ever seen.
Very good gameplay though which is what really matters. Not registered

I don't know what it is. But I didn't like this level that much. It just felt "disjointed" Kind of like a puzzle that someone has forced the peices together.
Really, it comes down to this...for a level that is going where a LOT of other levels have gone, (That is--> tight, fast, and small) there are other levels out there that are a LOT better. Better in terms of connectivity, flow, and color. But...as this is a rather high scored map, it's probably just me. So forget I said anything. Not registered

Obviously with my sentence
" I only found out about the jumping variable (that is, the variable that changes your jump height among other things) and was sometimes really confused"
I was trying to really confuse people =P
Meant to say
"I only found out about the jumping variable (bracket stuff) when it was mentioned in Gamespy's 1.25 Point Release Article. Not registered

As to what Johnny Law said about the MegaHealth (framerate variable dependent jump, ala q3dm13) I completely agree. I am not out of touch with things or a newbie or anything, but I only found out about the "jumping variable" (that is, the variable that changes your jump height among other things) and was sometimes really confused at how people jumped to the MH in dm13. So call me whatever names you want =P
But, besides that, the new 1.25 point release may screw that ability anyways. Id has fixed that "jumping height" variable bug and made the jump height fixed. I haven't played this or q3dm13 yet, so I can't say for sure, but you may not be able to reach those MHs by jumping any longer.
Anyways, just my thoughts...you know, all those mods everyone loves will get updated to 1.25 compatible eventually =)

its excelent for ffa but i really dont like the weapon placement for 1v1s,as mutch i love the railgun it seems out of place in this map the lg should b in its place, the lg is way too close to the rl
the upper rl should b swaped for the gl if not the gl should b at the upper ledges were the lg ammo is and the YA should b placed in the ledge were the fog of death is,of course this is all my opinion for a tourney v.but as it is its an great 3-4 ffa small map 8 points hereNot registered

Great map, good connectivity/ item placement and well done aesthetically. The weak point of the map it's the lightning that its too colorfull/bright in some parts (there's a little corridor that's completly red). but a part of the lighting the map is awesome. Not registered

This is one awesome map. The interconnectivity is phenomenal(just like all of DeV's maps), plus he nailed the theme down nicely as well. The matches play damn fast, and the constant differences in elevation found throughout make for some very interesting battles. You're a doll DeV, keep on doing what you do!
Great playing, great looking, what more can you ask for?

Only had a chance to play against bots so far, but this seems very promising for some good 1 on 1 LAN play. Must say I'm not really big on powerups in a tourney map (personal teleporter), but otherwise, a great map that I look forward to playing some more. Not registered

Played it only a few times so far, but looks like a really solid duel map. All major weapons are included _and_ are also more or less equally useful. The map is spacious and interestingly connected but it brings opponents together frequently, and it's hard to run/hide.
My only real complaint so far is the DeV has chosen to imitate the framerate-dependent jump to the MH from DM13. Framerate-dependent jumps baaad.

This is a BRILLAINT level, and apart from that grate (???) in the archway, this baby is bloody FLAWLESS. The eyecandy is just enough. Simple, without all the flashy shader which eat your framerate.
But most importantly, the layout is just SUPERB.
Good for DM? Yeah, and so what if it it is. This is true blooded duel map.
