This map is so good that I put it on our [TA]Canteen clanserver. Check out 213.146.173.70:27990, the password is 'oxymoron'.Not registered

Yeah, after playing a couple of more games with a friend I think you're right. The lack of health makes you a bit vulnerable, and I found the "other YA" - MH - LG route quite good for making kamikaze attacks against a RG camper. You can take a RG hit and still fry his ass most of the time. Not registered

But perhaps I would like to switch the LG with the PG or with the SG by the "other YA" anyway :) But that's really not a big deal, just nitpicking.
Great level!

Grudge you mentioned that its a bit too easy to camp the rg/ya area. True, except in order to do this, a player would need to sacrifice the mega. Also, you have to drop down to a lower level to get health - if your injured you have to give up that position. That was my intention anyway :)

Oh yeah. This is one of my favorite 1on1 maps. It's definitely up there with CPM1a och Heavy Duty.
It has almost perfect balance between open areas and cover - the only thing I don't really like is that the player camping the RG (and nearby YA) can a little too easily cover both the RL and the LG. I would have put the LG nearer the other YA.
But the gameplay is still great!

Octovus - yep, i was planning to make this one a halloween themed map and enter it in a contest, but for one reason or another i was unable to do so. Just as well that i didnt, i might have added pumpkins and giant spiders and made it a gimmicky pos :P
Commander Keen - you mentioned that the gameplay is too focused on the rl. In ffa, your right but in tourney play, i feel that it is quite rounded, with the rail gun as the most powerful weapon.
Thanks for the comments so far guys! (and thanks for the good review Brad 'notime' Kiefer :) )Not registered

This is plain and simple, a great tourney map! Sight lines are incredible to pull off long rail shots. Perfect weapon, armor, and health balance for a 1 v 1 match. And it's purdy too. ;) Hell of a job StormShadow! Not registered

Love this map. I think game play is a bit too focused around the rocket launcher but not sure what could have been done to balance that. But it's just a strait forward fun map.
Gameplay is as frenzied as Q3DM2.Not registered

play this one 1v1, it's a great map. I'll try to do the double rocket jump from YA to YA. Post something here if you did it...:)

This is such a nice map, as soon as I got fragged a couple of times by Anarki on hurt me plenty (confession time) I was impressed. Bots play v. well and go for the armour and MH a lot. Looks good and the gameflow is spot on. I had a lot of fun just against bots but it's amazing for some 1v1 action, just enough armour and health to allow for some tight games. I've never done this before but I'm going to give it a 10 just because of the great duel matches I've had on it. :) Can't wait for the next one.Not registered

Storm is really getting going fast :-) I liked his original DM release, though it was undeniably rough around the edges. Having played this some time ago I can say it's great. I believe it was intended for Halloween style theme (?) but I don't know whether that happened with the release time or not. Anyways, it's no gimmick map. Flow is nice, the fog everywhere adds some level of tactics but is mostly atmospheric - and doesn't hit the FPS at all on my pathetic rig. There are enough jump pads to give you some cues as to where your opponent is, and the RL is placed in a classicly vulnerable position. All weapons are made use of depending on your play style. Layout encourages flow. Um, nice job! Just not quite there for me though, so I'll give it a 9.
