Already in progress: http://sst13.net/maps/pics/island_b1_1.png
It's the same design and gameplay with just another layout, taken from an earlier map of me: http://lvlworld.com/comments.php?id=1806

@Anonymous: it wasnt :) or the cell shading was applied to weapon too... octopus, like q3dolphin, use shadowless and rubby textures ;)27 Jul 2007, 2:40 pm

Map got compiled with another kind of texture rendering. I saw this once. My friend Cryo let me see one of his testing looking like this. Isn't a good rendering on patch meshes; you can see their lines... try to make an arch and his outer bevel. ;)
26 Jun 2007, 2:15 pm
I know that's a funny looking rendering style but ithink i will never use it in a map with patch meshes ^^ an asteroid map (licterally asteroid"... that maybe a good idea of a map style where this rendering may look very well due the fact that on an asteroid: or you use highly detailed textures or you use the exact opposite: this rendering.

This map really is looking unique! Only the bots seem to have some problems watching their steps. ;)

I just downloaded the Proball Mod yesterday, and it's a pretty cool mod, but it sux that the bots just stand still as far as making a goal... I figure that if the Q2 Basketball mod can get their bots too shoot baskets, they should be able to get their bots working. =/ Are they even working on that mod still? It's the day and age of bot support!08 Jun 2007, 1:19 am

Thanks for the Reviews Wakey! The trick is using the R_RemapShader function, that's already built in Q3. The original maps doesn't use this function, so it's not much popular.

A howto can be found here: http://pumpkin.game-server.cc/q3map2/shader_manual/apA.htmlThe map design was inspired by a demo called "Fall Equals Winter" by Replay.
The stoneface mapmodels are inspired from Squidwards Easter Island moai house. (Spongebob rulez!)
I've hidden also a little easter egg inside the map. :>

It's a realy neat trick within the shaderfile, wich is nowhere documented.
Imo a realy nice work like i already said :D

It's always nice to see things that haven't been done before for q3. Many different ways to change things...Nicely Done!01 Jun 2007, 5:45 am

HOW YOU DO THIS JUST BY MAKING A MAP? LOOKS LIKE A MOD, EVEN THE ROCKETS AND EXPLOSIONTS ARE OUT OF A COMIC, EVERYTHING.
01 Jun 2007, 3:45 am
AMAZINGGONNA TRY THIS WITH OTHER MODS AND SEE WHAT COMES OUT :)
