Barren, large and very open. Only a few textures are used throughout the entire
level. On top of that, the map is very open with simple architecture. Long
rail and rocket shots followed by machine gun firing is what most of the
gameplay is. The map really feels like it wants to be a huge space level, but

The New Sorrow is dilapidated gothic with pipes and rain. It is
attractively done and you know what to expect.
Were I still stuck with my previous rig and its rubbish graphics card,
I'd be fulminating about the use of that patent framerate killer, the
rain shader. Fortunately, it doesn't make much of a ... keep reading

Spawning into the level I observed a very clean looking aesthetic remake of
bunker. The
author makes excellent use of the textures although the limited textures choice
makes the level feel quite drab after playing a few rounds. The lighting is
adequate but nothing too special. The gameplay is pretty repet ... keep reading

Small but well-formed is how I'd describe this base style map. The two raised
flag bases face each other across a long hall that forms the central atrium,
protected only by glass partitions. Four passageways run between the bases
(which are reached by bounce pads), two at either end of the long central

What a great idea! Mr. Lake states that this design was assembled with the
intention of producing a great FFA optimized for Q3 bot play. Bots do own this
map. I ran for 2 hours using bots. The competition was very intense.
Using crates, jump-pads and barrels as the simplistic make-up that allows AI to

This map features a wonderful lava theme that is adequately implemented
throughout the map. There's a mix of both large, spacious areas and tight,
narrow areas. The quad damage is nicely centered in one of the larger rooms
where much of the action takes place. There's also a red armor next to a
giganti ... keep reading

Visible through grates and the building footings,
water flows beneath the whole level and the
constant murmuring is quite soothing - until the
fragging starts, of course :] Its a great feature
in a well proportioned, solid map. The layout is
pretty simple, lots of horizontal gameplay. A 3

Big open areas and horizontal gameplay with a
simple stone texture set. A 1on1 was better than
expected for the layout. Seems to be best suited
for a 2vs2 RocketArena style of gameplay because
of the open areas and nice long lines of sight. A
Regen and a personal teleporter seem a bit
excessive in ... keep reading
